Achieving more together.

Frankonia Heidelberg consists of a broad network of members in Germany and beyond that has developed over decades and presently numbers approximately 300 people. Alongside a strong community and personal involvement, we value above all the best possible achievement of a university degree – as a basis for future success in life. Our members strive to support each other to ensure that we each achieve this goal. Effective studying and preparation for the academic challenges of the university is self-evident for us, as is professional support through our members in upper years and our alumni “Alte Herren”.

All for one

Our alumni members who are in the midst of their careers support our student members at an international level by offering internship positions, exchange semester visits elsewhere and even employment after university. We also support our members? interests in spending a semester abroad ? and where need exists, also financially. It is unsurprising that, compared to the academic average, our members typically enjoy above-average success both at university and later in life.

Success for the future

By themselves, a university degree and outstanding professional knowledge are no guarantee for a successful career. Basic rules of etiquette, social soft skills and a broad knowledge of common affairs are at least as decisive. Alongside regular lectures and seminars, discussion groups and tours of sites of interest, our members benefit from our internal seminar series Success for the future?. This covers topics such as rhetoric, modern employment skills, time management, job applications and etiquette and social grace under pressure.

Learning and life

We don’t neglect fun and social activities, and we regularly organise, among other things, excursions and events, traditional German students? evenings and wine tastings, golf and dancing lessons, as well as a diverse array of festivities. It is not without reason that our alumni enjoy returning to Heidelberg for the rest of their lives.
